food, history, rural life, and how we connect our cultural past and future
HAVE YOU DRIVEN TO TEXAS LATELY?
The past week for me has been spent recovering from my 9 day road trip during which I experienced great new people, roads and roads and highways (did you know the city of Houston is larger then the state of Maryland?), fabulous food, all ending with a bout of food poisoning!
The lecture at Bistro Calais started off the adventure.
The Alabama Ave. Community Garden introduced me to a gracious group of
Houstonians.
And I finished with a flourish of historic Monticello Lemon Curd and
cookies.
Now that I’m feeling much better, thank you, I can begin filling in
the full story. There are lot’s of pictures.
